Welcome to 092 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Midland, Texas! Our academy is a new Jiu-Jitsu spot in West Texas opening up in 2025. We are striving to create a family-oriented atmosphere that supports self-defense, anti-bullying efforts, community building, as well as competition. All of our students will be taught how to defend themselves, but will also gain skills in confidence, making friends, and improving their physical and mental health. About Our School
092 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a place where students are encouraged to have a positive, happy Jiu-Jitsu experience. We want to provide an environment where you can take a break from your daily routine while learning a new skill. Our owners and head instructors, Emily and Felipe Ferreira, adapt their instruction to the needs of students with patience while working to push them beyond their comfort zone. Emily and Felipe are two of the youngest head black belt instructor which allows them to relate easily to kids while having the added experience of training adults.
Our History
092 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is beginning it’s martial arts journey with it’s 2025 opening. Owners Emily and Felipe Ferreira look foward to building a strong Jiu-Jitsu community in the West Texas area. They want their academy to be a place where they can build relationships with their students and where their students can build relationships among themselves. Before they set their sights on teaching, Felipe began his training in Manaus , Brazil (the 092 area code of their academy’s name) at a young age, and Emily began training eleven years ago and both have racked up many accomplishments. They have learned many vital lessons from Jiu-jitsu, especially about working through difficult times and that anything is possible. These lessons are what they want to pass in to their students.

As two of the youngest black belt instructors, they create an engaging and relatable learning environment for students of all ages. Their teaching philosophy blends patience, discipline, and encouragement, helping students push beyond their comfort zones while having fun along the way.
